Glasgow street art

I spent a warm spring Saturday afternoon in Glasgow recently, taking in the highlights of the cities streets art scene. The huge murals, many photo realistic, are primarily paid for and approved by the city council, in a long running campaign to help brighten up the city and drive tourism. But it goes much deeper, and we also visited SWG3, just outside the city centre in Partick. This is home to the Yardworks project, an international festival of street art. We were a week late for the festival , but we’re able to see some of the incredible work. I’ve shared a handful of images of this thriving slice of Glaswegian culture in the slideshow below.
