Wait, Summer…is that you???

As I dutifully start planning out my cosy autumn content for the blog and website, it only goes and turns into a September summer. I think this week is the best consistent spell of weather we’ve had all year, with October just around the corner. Oh well, I will get the shorts back out for a few days anyway. And let’s not pretend this summer was ALL bad, we had great days here and there and fortunately many of them coincided with my tours. Here’s a few wee memories of sunny days this year, to act as a farewell to a summer that had it’s moments, because surely normal autumnal service will be resumed soon!!

The Mull of Galloway Lighthouse

Leaderfoot Viaduct

A regular stopping point on Borders tours this summer

Scott’s View

A wonderful half day tour in and around Melrose with two pals on their annual holiday. Thanks for choosing The Borders and TVB

Spreading the SSDA word at the Red Deer Range in Galloway Forest Park!

The Union Chain Bridge

The finest borders crossing between England and Scotland, a favourite on several tours this summer.

My American cousins Finn and Brian take in Neidpath Castle and The River Tweed

Meeting my long lost relatives through the business this summer was such a highlight.

Hiding out at The Hermitage, in Perthshire

A pleasure to lead walks for Wayfaring Walks again this summer - two in the diary for 2025 :)

Eileen from Nova Scotia, who was born in Dundee and was desperate to see the Scottish heather in bloom

August in The Borders made this possible, and made her day :)
