A tour which can depart from in and around Edinburgh, or anywhere in The Borders, our Border Abbeys Tour is a must for anyone who wants to visit the unique wonder of our 4 neighbouring Abbeys. We will depart at 09:30 and return to your agreed drop off at around 17:30. Like all our Driver Guided Tours, the day will be tailored to you.

Departing from Edinburgh, we make for Kelso where we visit my former home town, home to what was the earliest and largest of the Abbeys. From here, it’s a short distance along the Teviot Water to Jedburgh, a Medieval Burgh whose Abbey is just one part of a fascinating town. We then make for secluded Dryburgh, the most romantic of all these ancient monuments. The day ends on a high, in the lovely Borders town of Melrose.

The tour is customisable to you, we will have many different options for stops and attractions which we will discuss on the day, taking weather conditions and all other factors into consideration. Please note entry to Jedburgh, Dryburgh & Melrose are included in the cost, however any food or other attractions are payable by you on the day.
