This Driver Guided, Full Day Tour is £400. The Borderlands Tour can accommodate up to four people.

A tour which can depart from in and around Edinburgh, or anywhere in The Borders , our Borderlands Tour is a day celebrating the cultures of Scotland and England via a trip along the Border . We will depart at 09:00 and return to your agreed drop off at around 17:30. Like all our Driver Guided Tours, the day will be tailored to you.

A special trip into the turbulent past, through the tranquillity of today’s peaceful Borderlands. Ideal for those interested in history, and beautiful landscapes.

From Edinburgh, we head south through the countryside of East Lothian and Berwickshire, with it’s beautiful coastline. Our first destination is the former Scottish Burgh of Berwick-Upon-Tweed, now England’s most northerly town. Here we will stop and take some time to explore this historic and often overlooked place.

From Berwick, we head along the River Tweed, crossing back into Scotland across the magnificent and recently restored Union Chain Bridge. We will visit the famous Chain Bridge Honey Farm where, depending on the season, lunch can be taken on a double decker bus!

We next visit the villages of Norham and Ladykirk, on opposite sides of The Border. Both these small villages are peaceful places today, but have played a significant role in the shaping of the countries of Scotland and England.

We then head for the small village of Branxton, via the 500 year old Twizel Bridge, where we will visit the remarkably well preserved battlefield of Flodden, sight of Scotland’s greatest military defeat in 1513.

From here we head back into Scotland for the final time (our sixth and final Border crossing!). We return to Edinburgh via the Borders towns of Coldstream, Kelso (including the lost town of Roxburgh) and Lauder before returning to Edinburgh via Midlothian.

Please note tours departing from the Scottish Borders will vary in route, but will cover most of the same attractions.
