The Destination Tweed project is developing an exciting Source to Sea ‘River Tweed Trail’, running for 113 miles from Moffat to Berwick Upon Tweed. To celebrate this, and to add to the storytelling offering on the route, I am proud to offer ‘River Tweed Trail - Storytelling Walks’, right here in Tweeddale.

Take your River Tweed experience further in the hands of your local guide, Tweed Valley Blogger. Over a 2 - 3 hour walk you will be entertained by tales of this iconic river, the landscape it flows through, the people and events which have shaped it and the lesser known, quirky stories which only true local insight can provide.

I currently offer three walking routes - Peebles, Innerleithen and Walkerburn. Walk start locations will be shared on booking, with the walks ranging from around 5km to 7km long. The walks take in a mixture of informal, narrow woodland footpaths which can be uneven underfoot (rocks, mud), open farmland and wider, surfaced trails. A reasonable level of fitness is required, though these walks are taken at a leisurely pace, to soak up the stories and sense of place. The walks are not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies, however alternative routes can be adapted to make them accessible.
